I want to say a very big Thankyou to the Stables and everyone working at the Camp. My Grandson had an absolutely wonderful time and I cannot believe he learnt to play the Piano Accordion in 5 days. The talent all the youngsters have is incredible and the show they put on was superb. These youngsters are a credit to their parents, tutors and they should be very proud of their own achievements
The vision that Avril Dankworth had, was to give young people with a love of music an experience that combined her two loves, music and camping. She specified that the musical experience should be completely different to what the campers experienced at school. It should embrace all genres, all abilities, and should take place as much as possible outdoors.
As we enter our Fortieth year, this blog aims to celebrate all that happened, all that is still happening, and to toast all that is hopefully yet to come. I hope it will be a place to share the music, creativity, memories and friendship, and a meeting place for all music camp alumni, present campers and staff. Please leave comments and messages.
